The 2020 Do-Over at Pete’s
Pete’s restaurant in the MidCity part of Lafayette is the official watch site for the University of Louisiana Ragin Cajuns and has been a Lafayette tradition for more than 50 years!
The locally-owned, family-friendly restaurant has long been a gathering spot for sports fans and with more than 20 high-definition televisions and a relaxed atmosphere it isn’t hard to see why.
We wanted to see what’s new at the classic Lafayette eatery, so we stopped by and met bartender Al Lane who told us about Pete’s 2020 Do-Over cocktail made with mint leaves, lime, simple syrup, pineapple juice, JT Meleck Vodka, and topped with Sprite.

The drink was originally called the Summer Reset but for obvious reasons Pete’s decided to rename it!
We asked Lane what her favorite drink to make for friends is and she told us, “Mojito because they make a good presentation” and “French 75 because I love gin and know that gin lovers will enjoy it!”

About JT Meleck’s Countdown to 21
This December, we embarked on a journey that took us across the state to 21 Louisiana-owned restaurants and bars serving JT Meleck Vodka. At each location, we documented a signature cocktail from their menu to come up with a list of 21 cocktails to help us count down the days to 2021. Beginning Friday, December 11, 2020, we’ll be featuring a different restaurant and cocktail each day on the JT Meleck website and posting it on our Facebook and Instagram feed.
