About the Role:
Fruge Aquafarms (rice and crawfish farm), CajunCrawfish.com (ecommerce website), Fruge Seafood (premium Louisiana seafood) and JT Meleck Spirits (award-winning rice vodka and whiskey distillery) are looking for a creative, self-starting Social Media Manager to grow our digital presence across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms. Your mission: create engaging, viral content that tells our story, connects with food and spirits lovers, and drives brand growth.
What You’ll Do:
• Own the social calendar: Plan and post daily content that’s timely, funny, informative—or all three
• Create short-form video: Capture and edit engaging Reels and TikToks behind the scenes on the farm, at events, and with the team
• Tell our story: Build the brand voice and aesthetic for both Fruge and JT Meleck
• Monitor trends: Stay on top of memes, sounds, and formats that could make our next post go viral
• Drive growth: Use insights and analytics to optimize for engagement, reach, and follower growth
• Collaborate with the team: Join us at events, crawfish boils, tastings, and brand activations to capture real moments
Who You Are:
• Strong video editing skills using apps like CapCut, InShot, or Premiere
• Obsessive about trends on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
• Creative eye for design, storytelling, and humor
• Comfortable filming and appearing on-camera if needed
• Passion for Louisiana food, spirits, and culture
Bonus Points:
• Experience with food, beverage, or lifestyle brands
• Photography and basic design skills (Canva or Adobe)
• Familiarity with Meta Ads and influencer outreach
