Long before we made whiskey, our family grew rice in Branch, Louisiana. When we started J.T. Meleck, we wanted to see what else we could make with the grain we knew best. That question led us from the rice field to the still, and eventually to a barrel room where the next part of the story would take eight years.

Since we released our first American Rice Whiskey, we’ve had the chance to share a lot of firsts with the people who’ve followed us along the way. This one is especially close to our hearts. It’s the first time we get to share a J.T. Meleck whiskey aged for eight years. We’re proud that it starts with the same thing our family has worked with for generations here in Branch: Louisiana rice.

Made from 100% Louisiana rice, aged for eight years and bottled at 110 proof (55% ABV), this small batch is available in limited quantities. It’s a bottle we’ve looked forward to sharing for a long time, and we’re glad the first chance to get one brings folks right back to the farm.
